Loved the capacity, not the crack after 6 months

Loved this water filter at first; it holds a lot of water which is great. Downside, it developed a crack after only about 6 months of use. After looking online, it seems like a lot of people had this problem. Upside, Brita sent me a voucher for a new one, no problem! I will be buying a diffferent system this time around which is why I gave 3 stars :)

Q: does the Brita marina water pitcher remove iron from tap/well water

A: Hi Misha, and thanks for the interest in our products! We'd love to assist you with the best product selection for your needs. While our pitcher filters work well to reduce chlorine, cadmium, copper, mercury, and zinc from municipally treated tap water. Well water can contain different contaminants, such as iron and rust, which cause water to have a color. As long as your well is municipally treated you can use our Brita Filters, but you may need to change your filter more frequently. Q: Product # 62-1098-4, Marina Pitcher Does it remove floride from the tap water, if not is there any that does?

A: The Brita Pour Through Filter used in the Brita Black Marina Pitcher CTC Item # 62-1098 only removes a trace amount of fluoride over the life of the filter. (We recommend filters need to be replaced every 151 litres or 2 months) The Brita Pour Through Filter reduces Chlorine (Taste and odour), Mercury, Copper, Cadmium and Zinc. All Brita Pour Through Pitchers use the same Brita Pour Through Filter so as indicated only trace amounts of fluoride are removed using any of the Brita Pour Through Pitchers carried by Canadian Tire.
