Bought this hitch for my Honda 420. Bolted it on as per instructions, but while towing, the full unit will turn left or right when I hit the breaks. There is nothing preventing the hitch from sliding back and forth. It is tightened down and the ribbed washer is between hitch and tongue on ATV. Other brands like this have a plate that is supposed to prevent this from happening but this unit does not. Very frustrating when towing a load and hitch unit hits rear diff on the bike. Could possibly cause damage to atv like this.

Great ATV hitch!

I purchased this for our Yamaha quad. I love how I can put a ball on it and still retain the clevis hitch without swapping all the time and I love that it puts the hitch back further so the draw-bar doesn't hit the wheels when turning. Seems well built. The only thing I don't like is the hitch fits pretty loosely in the receiver, so it rattles quite badly. Definitely take it out when not towing to avoid the noise.

Q: could i bolt the 2 inch receiver portion to my bumper using the hole in the bumper provided for a hitch ball and then mount a truck bed extender to the 2 inch receiver so I can carry my canoe in the truck bed?

A: Though it would appear that the Reese ATV hitch could serve this purpose, the downward tongue weight that this hitch can support is not sufficient for it to be used as a truck bed extender. We do not recommend that this product be used for this purpose.
