Bluehive Wireless Charging Pad / LED Lamp

I have a prior Bluehive Wireless LED lamp (different model) and was pleased with its performance. However, the recently purchased unit presented operational issues. During initial use, it would function for approximately five minutes before shutting off. Subsequently, even with the timer set to one hour, it malfunctioned after only a few minutes. The issue persisted the following day, leading to its return. I do not intend to purchase this model again.

Charging pad does not work if you phone has a case. Must remove the case first. Not good.

Looks like a nice lamp, but if the main, long arm is lowered, the light arm does not move up, so it does not shine on the area or book you want it to. It shines toward the floor. Do not buy.

Q: Where can I obtain the required 3 amp 9 volt USB power adapter for 035-7352-8 blue hive charging pad? Cannot find one anywhere, including e-bay. Other people complaining about the same problem. A 2 amp adapter does not allow all the functions together.

A: I have kept mine unplugged when not using it. Those lamps made in China often you cannot buy the batteries or can't even open it. I would not recommend them to anyone and Canadian Tire would do us a service not sell them. When are good Canadian goods coming ack on the shelves??????

Q: Is there supposed to be a bright red light near the cord input, when the lamp is plugged in? Is there anyway to turn this off?

A: I believe the light your referring to is the phone charge location on the base of the light, and no there is no way of turning it off to my knowledge.

A: Check the charger used to power the lamp. If it is not powerful enough (low amps), this may happen. I noticed something similar in my case. Try another charger and see. You can also change the brightness to the lowest, if it lasts, then it is most likely a charger issue.

A: Beside the on/off power circle, there is another circle with a sunburst imprint. Touching this will give you options from low to medium to high. Touch needs to be firm but not hard.

Q: i press the ''on'' button---the lamp light ''flashes'' on off like a picture was taken and won't stay on --just a 1/2 second flash is all i get when i press on button----red light/power connection---flashes red/blue as well

A: Please check that the lamp is being powered by a USB adapter with a power output of at least 5V/3A, 9V/2A such as a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 adapter.

Q: Is there a way to turn off that awful led beside the USB... the the light if off and you wanna sleep you're stuck with this annoying bright red led :S
