Should have called it Short-tec

The hand vac has decent power and works well at first, but after not even 2 years of light use the battery life is terrible. On high power I get about 30 seconds of run time, over which the power decreases until it finally craps out. I would expect that you could find a hand vac with comparable power at a comparable price that actually has a reasonable battery life, and thus do not recommend this product.

I bought this dustbuster several months ago. It really does a great job especially when I have a simple cleanup. I don't have to drag out the vacuum every time.

Bad quality

Got as a gift, gave it back to the person who gifted it to me. It didnt have any suction power and I couldnt get it to shut off! I had to let it run till the battery died.

Perfect for cleaning my car!

I bought this recently hoping that it would work easily for cleaning my car. I prefer this to a big shop vacuum. Absolutely perfect. Better than I expected. The crevice tool gets down between the center console hump and the seats for those little popcorn pieces that get away. Great suction and cleans amazingly well. Convenient to use under seats, on seats, the back baggage area. No cords to drag around as I change section of the car to vacuum out. I love it!

Q: Is the battery pack replaceable? I have another Black & Decker vacuum which is great but the battery no longer holds a charge for more than 10-20 seconds and the battery pack can't be replaced.
