Good but very loud

This food processor should be sold with some kind of ear protection as I found it to be louder than my vacuum cleaner. Otherwise it is fine. Unfortunately, I did return it the next day, only because of the loud motor.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not up for the job

I tried this product, and it couldn't chop 1/4 of a carrot. The carrot stuck to the blade and just kept spinning in the bowl. Would not recommend this food processor.

overall not very good

I use food processors primarily for making pie dough. I used this once and am returning it. The lip on the lid is on the outside so when you take it off all the flour comes out and makes a mess. The buttons need to be pressed in fairly hard which makes it hard to use the pulse function and add food at the same time, I found the base slipped when I did this, because I had to press so hard. I found that when making the dough all of the ingredients got pushed up above the blade while the blade just spun around below it, meaning I had to push the ingredients back down several times until I just gave up and finished it by hand. The blade got stuck on centre post so badly that I was unable to remove it after just one use. The cord is very short as well. I didn't try this with vegetables so it could be okay if you use it just for that. I don't think this product is worth it even when it is on sale.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How is the blade in the small bowl kept on? Despite following instructions, the blade in the small bowl refuses to stay on the spindle. This is inconvenient & could be dangerous.

  • A: I have exact same problem. Previous answer about wrong blade doesn't cover the issue. Right blade used, followed instructions, even checked Youtube video. Seems like a design flaw where blade doesn't stay in place. I just don't use small bowl due to this hazard.

  • A: It couldn't even grind cooked chicken for me very well. The blade got all gummed up and the machine slowed down. I had to turn it off because I was scared it would affect the motor.

Q: Does it have a dough blade Does Black and Decker # 4321814 has a dough blade?

  • A: Yes it does. It has plastic dough blade BUT I wouldn't use it for a hard dough such as pizza. It has a little bit short blades and if you need it small amount of dough it wouldn't work.
