I bought this trimmer 13 yrs ago finally replacing the spool kit after 12yrs of hard use best trimmer I ever purchased My eldest son purchased a Worx cordless trimmer for me for fathers day 2 years ago I prefer the Black and Decker over the worxs

Best trimmer ever owned. I have two. It is powerful to clean out ditches and edge my driveway. Only whimps have any difficulty in using this product. Sorry to see it is discontinued.

I bought this and loved it. I like the angle of the handle and the angle of the cutter. I like the fact that it was duel string. I used it hard and it has lasted me for 4 years. This year it got tangled in a Yuca and it broke the thread teeth. I went to replace it and it is discontinued. I do not like single string. The straight stick is hard on my back. I bought a new Kobalt, because it had the dual string; but the angle of the handle is a problem and it does not work as well as the B&D I had. Why was this discontinued?

Worked well for one season, now broken

At first this was the best trimmer with the best speed for an electric! Now the motor just spins but not cutting head. After much searching online I finally opened the unit up(although I couldn't get the cover to completely separate. However, I did see that a nylon bushing of some kind had broken of the drive motor head assy. I couldn't open it up enough to see what else was wrong. Too bad...great unit but short life!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How can I acquire a new cap for the line-feed for this model? I have this model of Black & Decker grass trimmer. Unfortunately, the cap that covers the cutting line spool has snapped off (broken side bracket). This renders the tool useless unless I can replace the cap. Any ideas?
