Poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The controls on the handle are poorly placed. You are constantly turning the machine to a lower level or off completely. It clogs too easily, filter is very ineffective, you have to clean the entire machine after every use.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I need another one NOW!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had mine since 2005, I think, maybe longer. We don't have pets, but I have long hair and it saved my sanity. We have all hardwoods and tile bec of grandchildren's allergies and it never missed a beat! It finally gave up the ghost 2 weeks ago and I need another one. I have compared with other vacuums but this Bissel has been my best vac in forever. Please hurry and get more in stock!

So glad I didn't buy this with my own money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product in that it cleans my hard floors a million times better than a broom alone. That being said I am so glad I didn't waste my own money on this thing. Every use I am cursing! I half wish it was more of a ghostbuster-like backpack type situation because then it would be PERFECT. Instead it feels a lot like trying to keep a big dog in the house when you're talking to someone at the door. It's up your butt and you're constantly kicking it back. This thing has run into my heels so many times I've lost count! And what makes it more annoying is that there is 1 swiveling wheel, which is nice when the motor unit is facing directly at you, but when the motor unit is following behind you sideways (which is always since you vacuum from one side to another) it is no help. Instead the two big back wheels get stuck because they only go one way and you end up skidding them across the floor, effectively marking them up with gray scuffs. ANNOYING! The trouble doesn't end there! When you're done and you push the retractable cord button to reel it back up you better be ready to do it in a bunch of short little spurts because of you do it even a little too long you're in a world of hurt. I've had it come flying and whip me across the legs, I've had it whip the cord into my wall with such force it put a dent in it! And, the fun doesn't stop there. When you go to empty the dirt trap there is a small, USELESS, pocket/crevas which is always filled with debri. It's too small to get out with your fingers and at such a weird angle you can't get a pair of tweezers in there. I have resorted to just beating the canister until it dislodges, or giving up entirely and just putting the canister back, clog in all! Then when you go to store it there's a handy slot that the vacuum wand fits in. You'll have to take off whatever attachment you have on it (the carpeted or hard floors it comes with) because if you DON'T you can't get the handle to FIT in that handy little slot. Just UGH

I would buy it again

Needs to be cleaned after each use , filter and sponge, I added bounce sheets to reduce dust on sponge filter you need two filters to let sponge dry after cleaning so if your looking for something hassle free, better get a bagged canister vacuum, but personally I don't mind not having to waste money bags .

Q: Does it have a rotating brush for carpet cleaning?

A: No this unit does not have a rotating brush for Carpet cleaning. The rotating brush is specially designed for hard surface only. The brush will only spin when a full seal is made with hard surface which causes the air driven brushes to guide crumbs and debris into the suction path. The suction and brush are powerful, yet cleans delicately to protect your floor surfaces. The vacuum does include a straight suction floor tool for carpets and area rugs. Please see attached image.

A: Hi Nord - this vacuum is bagless and uses multi level filtration. It is not a sealed HEPA system.
