Great hose, but leaks!

I love everything about this hose - it's really lightweight, flexible, and does not kink BUT I've gone through 3 of them so far in as many years and they all eventually end up leaking. Not sure why. The first two I used with a hose reel and the third one I used a hose holder pot. The hose is brought inside during the winter, so I don't know why it keeps leaking. Other than that, the hose is great

Kinks underneath the metal lining inside 2 spots lead to breakage. Expensive for such little use.

The hose felt like a good idea it is light weight and coils compactly without kinks. The plastic hose separated from the metal covering one month into ownership. Returned for refund. Don’t waste your time purchasing this product.

Q: Avoid buying this steel garden hose! It's too bad the Bionic Steel Hose contains plastic underneath the black plastic sleeve on both ends of the hose which makes it vulnerable to leaks. Therefore, the hose always results in leaks on both ends.

  • A: This hose has never leaked for me and I have eight of them. I also like the fact that there is a built in ball valve at the discharge end which is very convenient. Additionally, it almost never kinks, unlike other garden hoses.

Q: The Bionic Flex Hose ...50ft.   My question is ...can this hose be used with a pressure washer and if so what pressure can it stand?  The box didn't  seem to mention anything about it and was sealed so I could not read the instructions.

  • A: Any hose can be used with a pressure washer. The hose is under no pressure. It is only a conduit between the source and the pressure washer, unless the source is over-pressurized, but I'd think a steel encased hose could handle things like a bit of pressure better than rubber.
