A: Luminere®/Multi-Position® Lighter To operate our child-resistant utility lighter, you must hold the handle and pull the wand by the grip to open to position one (1), two (2) or three (3). The lighter will not ignite until wand is advanced to, or past, position one (1). While depressing the button, pull the ignition button. The child-resistant mechanism will automatically reset after each use. The wand may be hot after use. Close the wand by the grip only. Store the lighter with the wand in the closed position. U140 – Comfort Lite To operate our child-resistant BIC® Comfort Lite Multi-purpose Lighter you must : 1) Pull down and hold lever and 2) Push down button. The child-resistant mechanism will automatically reset after each use.
