[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn't expect for this mason jar to be this big. Rice, beans, pasta, cookies, you name it can be stored in this jar. I preferred snacks. A lot of them fit in it. And it's nice how you can see what you are grabbing.

A: An even more reliable seal would come from a large mason jar. I have some by Bernardin that are almost a 2 litre capacity. I believe they are also sold at CDN Tire

Q: Can Ball Canning Mason Jars be used for pickling? In the store these jars have a warning stating : "not for canning" they are described as decorative jars. Also is the glass of the gallon size jars the same as the 1 liter Ball Mason jars?
