Good start

Good in the beginning. This lamp is less than a year old and now in the dumpster. The lamp was ridiculous, bend over, the arm was lop sided. It used regular tri light bulbs which was awesome but that's the only good thing about it. Piece of junk.
I wish I would have read the reviews before buying this thing because my problems and concerns are already written.
Buyer Beware.

Loved it at first...now it's garbage

Loved this lamp at first, but just as another reviewer said, a few years later, it has weakened at the point of the swing arm. It's leaning awkwardly and looks ridiculous.
I've rarely used the swing arm, but have moved a couple of times and I'm sure that didn't help. A disappointment for sure since I really enjoyed the lamp.

A word of caution

The swing arm on this lamp will eventually completely break off. There is no way of preventing this or fixing it once it happens. I purchased 2 lamps ... Happened with both of them. If you plan on using the swing arm a fair amount, it will weaken pretty quickly. If you don't use the arm, nice looking sturdy lamp.

Nice looking floor lamp, but be aware

This is a nice looking floor lamp, very easy to put together. Be aware though that the packaging doesn't indicate that this lamp only uses the new energy-efficient CFL tri-light bulbs (the ones that look coiled) . I learned this by trial and error. If you look at the bulb socket you will see that it is indicated by the silver sticker around it. Get the bulbs that are an equivalent of 50/100/150 (600/1200/2150 lumens with energy used 12/22/33). Consequently, the matching table lamp uses a regular bulb, so it can be confusing if you buy the two of them together.
Also, check the lamp shade before you leave the store, some of them are sewn incorrectly in the factory. Take the shade to the lamp area and hold it against a light to check it.
Overall, it's a great looking lamp!
