I love these lights, but one of the 6 i purchased seemed to only activate as a motion light. There were no signs of motion sensors. Maybe wires were loose?

A: Although not using it outside, I am using this light in an unheated and uninsulated area and it works fine. No, it does not have a motion sensor built in.

A: It's designed to be used as an overhead light - basements, garages etc. I wouldn't use it on a lamp socket as such. It does screw into a standard socket.
