Broke quickly

This mouse was nice to use for a week or so, but the scroller broke almost right away. Very annoying since the scroller will go off on its own shifting the page, makes it unusable.

Q: I cannot get this wireless mouse to work. it is "Smart Connect" on the packaging but there are no instructions and it does not seem to work. My computer runs Windows XP. I did put in batteries.
