We got this one to replace an old one of the same make, and it's good, but it took a while to figure out how to reset it -- the old one was much more user friendly.

Q: How do you turn this timer off?? Or Is it constantly using battery? Thx.

A: If you take the battery out, the display turns off. This leads me to believe that it is constantly using battery. Over the course of 2 months it drained the AAA battery despite not interacting with it.

Q: After how long does the timer power down (shut off)? Is there a combination of buttons I can press to shut it off manually? and then to power it back on again?

A: Yes, press the Min and Sec buttons at the same time (see Reset). This puts it back to zero. However the device does not power off completely. Doesn’t seem to use much battery power so it’s not an issue.
