These wore out so fast!

Same as everyone else. I have to replace them after 3 summers. I run winters the other half of the year. Stay away from these unless you drive a tiny car with no weight.

worn out after 40,000kms

I had 4 of these installed on my 2006 Toyota Sienna 2WD minivan at Canadian Tire 2 years ago and after 40,000 kms there's about 1/8" thread left to the wear bars on all 4. these are cheap tires and you get what you pay for

Q: bought a set of 4 a few days ago and noticed that tread design is different than the picture on the website and flyer. Has anyone else noticed this? The size is 195/65/15. There is only 2 treads going down the middle of the tire and not 3 as shown on the picture.

A: I talked Continental Tire(makers of General Tire), they told me its the same tire. Just a different name for Canadian Tire and Walmart in the US.

Q: Is the buy one get the second at 1/2 off based on the sale price or the regular price? The Evertrek is on sale for $91 (Regular $121) so if it is based on the sale price then its a good deal but if it's based on the Regular price then really, theres no deal at all because the 2 tires would $90/each anyways.

Q: How do the General Evertrek RTtires handle driving in snow and ice compared to traditional snow tires? We are planning a trip from Florida to Ontario and back next winter so we need tires that handle winter driving as well as hot weather driving without signifivant tire wear.

A: A dedicated winter tire is preferable to any all-season tire when driving in winter conditions. Not just snow, and ice, but also in cold temperatures. While all-season tires can perform in cold temperature, winter tires are designed to stay pliable in cold weather, allowing for better traction, and handling. A: Just got quoted 4 225/60R16 98T at CT. Total Cost was $526 + GST +PST depending on where you live. included nitrogen fill. Adjust down slightly for different size.
