Poor Design

I purchased this cooler and based on the price had high expectations. Unfortunately the cooler is poorly designed. The hinges are plastic and cannot support the weight of the lid so they both broke and the lid is further attached by a plastic strap attached by a screw. Again due to the weight of the lid the screw pulled out so the lid was no longer attached. Also one of the front closure clips broke. This was after using the cooler for one season over a 4 month period. I contacted Igloo and they informed me I could purchase metal hinges to replace the plastic ones but they do not ship to Canada so I was unable to repair the cooler. This is very poorly designed and an inferior product. The size of the unit requires 3 strong hinges to support the weight and size of the lid.

No, I do not recommend this product.

sur deux achats de glaciere ,apres deux ouvertures ,les charnieres ont cassé ,et un loquet de fermeture egalement .les plastiques sont trop fragiles;sinon la conservation semble correcte

Not great for camping but it's amazing on the boat. The white helps reflect a lot of heat. A reflective blanket on the boat isn't that convenient.

This cooler is amazing. We go camping for a week and there is still ice left at the end. Only problem is the flimsy plastic latches. Replacements can be gotten though

Nous avons acheté ce Cooler en Juin 2014 et c'est le plus utile acheté à date. Comme nous partons pour au moins une semaine à chaque voyage et que nous avons toujours des visiteurs, ce grand Cooler garde les choses froides très longtemps et il est assez logeable pour tout ce dont nous avons besoin. Nous l'appelons "Le Cerceuil". Je recommande cet article vivement.
