The Pirelli Winter 270 Sottozero Series II Tire provides enhanced traction and handling for passenger cars and CUVs in snowy and icy conditions. The tire’s asymmetrical tread pattern offers improved grip and cuts down on noise. The tire’s temperature dynamic compound rubber formula delivers excellent performance, even in rain or sow. With its combination of snow traction, all-season handling, and braking improvements, this tire is made for both safety and driving enjoyment through the winter months.

Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

slippery, noisy, and wear like butter.

Pirelli Sottozero winter tires are the worst tires I have ever had on a car and this is a REAL review with 3 Quebec winters on a 2011 A4 Quattro. I am glad to get rid of them. Very close tread pattern prone to spin with ROUND EDGES prone to understeer in any depth of snow. You will be taking any corner at walking speed in snow. Noisy and wear out like butter (saw the tread bars in less than 20K). Ice grip is no better than our all season summer tires (I tried both on the same day). Our 2003 A4 Quattro had Pirelli Winter Carving tires and they stuck like staples. My FWD passat with department store Goodyear Nordic tires grip, steer, stop, and track better than these at 1/4 the price. You should not even sell them let alone recommend them.
