Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Accepts Studs

In this weather? I’m glad I have them!

This is my second season on these tires, this year there has been some harsh, distinctly Canadian winter climate. Blowing heavy snowfall polished, low traction snow and ice conditions to and from my commute to work. I was hesitant on buying studded tires at first but I’m glad I have them now. They’ve helped me through drifting blowing snow, roads slick and polished with ice and snow, with the ability to stop and avoid major collisions. They’ve kept me on the road so far and I’m glad I bought them.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great tires, good price, confusing pick up

Tires were great, but the ordering and the website were a bit confusing.Website said tires were at the store for pick up so I went to the store early next morning to get them put on the rims as I could not figure out how to advise that on the purchase. I was advised at the store that the tires would not be ready before noon. When I came back after noon I was advised that they didn't have the tires and that they were being sent from another store, 150 kms away, and might not be ready before morning. I couldn't go back to the store for another 2 days. The tires are great, price was good...liked being able to spread the cost out over 2 years monthly payments with no interest charge, and I got $150.00 in CT money.

Loosing Studs

Bought these three winters ago. First impressions were excellent with quiet highway and excellent traction. However, at end of the first season we noticed the front tires lost a lot of studs and submitted a warranty claim. Got the front two replaced (prorated of course). The second winter season was short and lost a few studs on older rear tires but fronts seemed ok. Third Winter we lost a lot of studs but this time on all 4 tires. One tire is missing 54 studs, and other tire 40 studs and the newer tires are missing 18 and 9 studs. We only put maybe 30,000 km over all three winters and maybe 17,000 km on new tires. These are installed on base Toyota matrix so not a power house car. We also have a van with another popular brand of studded tires for years and never have stud loss issues. My recommendation is go with another brand. I love Michelin tires but they haven’t figures out the studs part. Hope these make this season then switching.

Unfortunately since canadian tire could not mount tires on the rims ,I had to cancel the order and purchased the same tires and rims installed for$100 more than your price .

Q: It's autumn 2024, is the Michelin X-Ice North STUDDED winter tire come studded for the price advertised or do we have to pay extra to have them studded? If studding is extra, then they should be advertised as STUDDABLE, not studded.

Q: This is a picture of the Micheline X-Ice Snow, not a North 4. The North 4 is a studded tire. Might want to fix that.
