Are mud flaps and splash guards universal?

Mud flaps and splash guards are not always universal. There are universal mud guards available that are adjustable and can be trimmed or adapted to fit various vehicle sizes. However, they may not provide a perfect fit or the same level of protection as custom-fit options.

How to find the right mud flaps/splash guards for my vehicle?

For the best fit and performance, it’s recommended to choose mud flaps or splash guards that are designed for your specific vehicle. This ensures that they align correctly with your wheel wells and provide maximum protection against road debris and mud. When shopping for mud flaps or splash guards, check the product’s compatibility and your vehicle’s owner manual to make sure that they are suitable.

Do I need front and rear mud flaps?

Front and rear mud flaps can effectively extend the life of your vehicle if you frequently drive through rough terrain or live in an area prone to harsh weather conditions.

How to install mud flaps/splash guards on my vehicle/truck?

To install truck mud flaps, start with testing the fit of your new flaps by holding them up to your wheel walls to ensure that they fit the curves of your vehicle and allow enough clearance for your wheels. Then, attach the mud flaps to the factory-drilled mounting holes without fully tightening the mounting screw. If your vehicle is not pre-drilled for mud flaps, drill the holes as needed, using the flap as a guide. Lastly, make sure your new mud guards are level and parallel, then fully tighten the screws.
