Holy Smoke! I just read the “Terms and Conditions”! I’d have to be nuts to write any more reviews!

It’s a really good tire that I bought on sale for a really good price, but there’s NO WAY I’ll be able to tell you about it because of the incredible load of potential liability I’d be shouldering on behalf of Canadian Tire and it’s 3rd party, American client, BazaarVoice! I’m so glad I took the time to carefully read the Terms and Conditions, especially #3!

Best discontinued winter tires you can't buy.

I have owned three generations of this great tire in a row. And just bought the last set available in the GTA at clearance pricing this past November for my Dodge Caravan. Also note the tire is also discontinued so this review sadly will help no one.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Goodyear Nordic Tires: long-lasting winter tires

Nordics have excellent longevity for winter tires. Treadwear is better than most other winter tires and I have never seen cracking on this generation of Nordic winter tires. Great in snow and slush. Not as good on ice as the latest winter tires. Still, it's sad that they were discontinued.

Amazing Tire

We have this tire on a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan (235/55R17) and they're great. They grip super well wether it's snow, ice, slush, or just really cold. They offer a quiet and smooth ride. The Tiguan has all wheel drive to help it, however I have spoken to people who have these tires on front wheel drive and rear wheel drive cars and I can say 10 out of 10 recommend this tire.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I have posted a question a few days ago and I have not received an answer yet. The guestion was could I put 17 inch rims and tires on a 19 inch 2013 Journey Crew. I have ordered 225/65R17 Nordic Winter Tires. The Journey has 225/55R19 Touring all season tires. Many thanks My name is Hopsing

  • A: Not recommended because of 7% tire size difference. Should not be more than 3%, you should be using 18 inch tire or 65 profile. Good luck.

Q: What should the tire pressure be?

  • A: The air pressure will depend on your vehicle. Check manual or door jamb for values. On my Audi A4 I keep them at 30 to 32 psi max.

Q: when you buy your tires at canadian tire does it include installation

2 Answers
  • A: If I were someone without tools and the mechanical knowledge I would probably get them to install them for me, but I can save myself some cash and do all of the work myself with the proper tools and safety equipment at my house. (e.g. jack & posts, torque wrench)

Q: Correct tire pressure for 225/65R17 Nordic Winter My van looks for 36 ppi for these tires and the tire light goes on when pressure is lower. New tires just put on and all 4 are at 30 ppi and the dash light is on now. Can I increase the tire pressure up to the 36 ppi ?

2 Answers
  • A: When you open your door on the inside of the door it will show your manufacturers recommended inflation pressure and the size of your recommended tire. If your manufacturer recommends 36 psi yes you can safely run that pressure and your light will go out. The only time you would be concerned about increasing pressure up to manufacturers spec is when you have the incorrect tire for the vehicle for example your tire is rated at 55 psi MAX but manufacturer recommends 80psi. Your tire can safely be inflated to 36psi. Happy driving.
