Not effective for our needs

We were so hopeful with this collar, but it didn’t work for our overprotective Shih Tzu.
It was placed snug against his neck, but he still continued to bark at everyone who came near.

Bark deterrent Collar (non-shock)

My rescue was reactive and barked at every dog she saw when we were on walks . I wanted something that would stop her from barking , but was not interested in shock collars . This collar gives her 2 freebies , then vibrates on the third bark . On the first day I put it on her for our walk , she stopped barking by the second dog we encountered . I used it two days in a row , and on the third day just showed it to her and put it in my pocket . She didn't bark at all . It has 2 levels of vibration or sound . I did not try the sound deterrent and only used the lowest vibration setting . I would recommend this collar to anyone who is trying to stop their dog from barking .

A: There are two modes available - sound and vibration. The sound mode emits a high frequency sound that deters dogs from barking, and the vibration mode releases a vibration every time your dog barks.

Q: My dog is only 5lbs. Is this collar to big. It says 8lbs. Just wondering if this anti barking collar would be to biggor my Tia. She’s only 5lbs. Thanks.

A: Hello and many thanks for your question. The manufacturer recommends the minimum dog weight for the small collar be 8lbs. They also recommend neck size 7" - 14". Please use your best judgment and ensure the collar is not too uncomfortable (heavy) for your dog that is only five pounds. We also recommend the low settings for both vibration or sound.
