Don’t buy the plastic shovel. It won’t last as long as the warranty.

Bought the new replacement shovel and everything went well as is to be expected. However. after seeing the sticker was similar to my old shovel, and it had a four year warranty, I went to return the old shovel, which they couldn’t find, which was obviously the Canadian tire product and they refused to do anything to cover my warranty after I went back there to get my replacement shovel.

Q: can it scrape ice under the snow. Does it scratch cement driveway

A: I find that a steel snow shovel is the only way to remove compacted snow off of smooth concrete. To remove actual ice shovel the snow away and then use a ice chipper/scrapper. some ice melter can help.The cement stands up well if it is in good condition.

A: Hello Techen, The 24in steel shovel is heavier than your traditional poly blades. The shovel is almost double the weight of the plastic version. If you are looking for a metal blade shovel that is lighter, please look at CT# 0596940 (24in Aluminum snow shovel). -Garant GP
