    Waste of Steel

The pruner advertise "Japanese High Carbon SK5 Steel" in big letters, which in itself is a good carbon steel for cutting tools. The execution however is downright awful. I don't think the blade is ever hardened, first cut on pinky sized dry branch and the edge was rolled. I then tried to scratch the blade with a dollar store snap off utility knife to see how hard it is, and I can actually cut slivers off the pruner blade! Why do they even bother with SK5 (assume it actually is what they advertise) if they don't bother to harden it? Might as well use pot metal instead.

No, I do not recommend this product.
