why bother?

I have owned this lawnmower at least fourteen years now and need a fourth battery. Yes, you read that right - a fourth battery. The first one that came with the lawnmower lasted the longest and worked the hardest. But guess what!!!! Not one new battery is to be had yet again this spring - I needed it last spring but couldn't get one then as they were 'unavailable'. I was given my dads old gas mower that only used two litres of gas for the season. I want to give this lawnmower away for someone else but why bother if a battery cannot be found......As with everything else in this society that is supposed to be good for it or better because of the battery, it has proved itself detrimental with three batteries from me alone going in the fill. I read one other review where the battery was replaced yearly......

buy a yardworks to find you cannot buy a replacement battery called the 1-888-523-5218 in hold 9th caller I am now 4th caller at 1 hour50min and42 seconds hanging up now

24V BATTERY IS BAD NEWS

Don't buy this mower. It will quickly become an orphan. When the battery goes out, and it did for me after only one season, there are no more being made as they are discontinued because of so many failures of these batteries that owners end up with a good machine with no power any longer available to run it. Don't buy this mower. My YARDWORK MOWER 60-1753 is a beautiful machine that can't be used anymore. SO SAD!

Really bad product and bad service

Bad battery product. Just bought another new one today and it does not charge properly, complete garbage. But since I am stuck /w my old cordless mower, I kept buying a new one each year. Except this year Canadian Tire does not stock these battery any more, probably because of the bad reviews, so the comments probably do affect the product sales. I was told to call Yardworks, but was placed on hold for 30 min. (twice), and disconnected me at the end of the 30 min. each time. very bad service from Yardworks. So overall bad product, bad service, I don't think I would get another Yardworks product any more.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How long should a Yardworks Battery last? I took the battery out for this season, charged it overnight, and it didn't last. Could there be something wrong with my charger? How would I test that? Do I need a new battery?
