Poêlon de camping en fonte World Famous.

J`en ai un. Je peux vous dire que le poêlon de fonte sera toujours le meilleur pour de bons steaks ou de bonnes grillades de poisson ou de porc à la maison ou au camping. La chaleur est facile à contrôler et bien répartie alors il se forme un beau caramel de viande mais rien ne brûle.C`est le poêlon qu`Il vous faut en campig à la chasse ou à la pêche j`y fait même mes œufs le matin.

I bought it for camping & now I use it at home...

Cast iron skillets are the original non-stick pans! Make sure you clean and season it properly and it will LITERALLY last you a lifetime. These guys hold the heat more than the thinner walled aluminum pots n pans so keep that in mind when cooking. ALWAYS hold the handle with an oven mitt, cloth or something to protect your hands so you DO NOT GET BURNED. I've got the big one and the smaller size which we use at home when we're not camping. Serious bang for your buck.

I read the previous review and didn't mean to buy this one when I came to the store. But after comparing three brands: Lagostina, Camp Chef and World Famous, I finally bought this one. Not only because of its reasonable price, but finer made campared to the other two. Lagostina 12" is the least satisfied, pricy and rougher surface, Camp Chef 12" has better surface and is the heaviest (weight is not my preference). World Famous has the finest surface. Even though its size was wrongly labeled, it's bigger than those two 12". Maybe you can say 13". For a person doesn't mind this minor mistake, this one is an excellent choice!

Not 14.5"

Not sure how they can get away with this false advertising right on the box. This pan is no way 14.5" no matter how you measure it. Even if you include the spouts or the short handle it is still less than 14.5". If you measure across the top like Kitchenaid measures their Cast Iron skillets, this pan is 12.5" at most (see picture). This is totally not Canadian Tire's fault as it says right on the box 14.5" (See picture). Yet the box is only 12.5" long. Any grade 8 math student can tell you it is impossible to fit a 14.5" diameter circle in a rectangle where the shortest side is only 12.5". So buy the Kitchenaid 12" skillet that Canadian Tire also sells because it's the same size and better quality. The kitchenaid has a better finish, the World Famous is a bit rough and has some flaws such as uneven gouges and tiny spikes that stick up. That's probably why they hide it in a box. The kitchenaid also has a longer handle.
