The 25º sharpening angle and an expert review were key.

I generally stay away from pull-through sharpeners, but this one got a good review from Cedric & Ada on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqY7Y3-W7vQ – Critical for me was the 25º sharpening angle, perfect for an outdoors knife. Most pull-through sharpeners are 20º for kitchen knives, and that won't last long in heavy use. Used properly, this works well.

I am very happy with the Sharp Pivot Plus Knife Sharpener. I was able to watch a video to show me how to properly use it and then I sharpen my kitchen knives and I was extremely surprised of the result. Then I used it for my garden shears and my hedge trimmer and it worked great. Can't ask for better for that price. Excellent job.
