Wish I had bought this years ago

Can't believe I waited so long to purchase this especially after years of hand cranking. My reluctance to purchase this adapter was due to thinking a cordless drill could never really power it. We used my friends 20V Dewalt drill and on the first outing drilled 20 holes with one battery. Albeit the ice was not super thick but still impressive.

Well worth the investment

I run a hammer drill with an 8 inch ice auger. Was so happy to get this as it was difficult to hold the drill when it wants to kick back. This makes drilling holes super easy!

Q: I only have an 18v drill. Do I really need a high-torque drill?

A: If you don't have a higer torque drill, there is a good chance you will burn it up very quickly. My 420 In-lb Mastercraft newer drill burned up. I heard from another reviewer that your drill should be at least 750 In-Lbs. I replaced mine with a 1400 In-lb Milwauke Feul and cut through 30 inches of ice in about 5 seconds. Even with the cost of the Fuel Drill and this attachment its cheaper than buying a dedicated power auger plus I have an awesome drill to use for other stuff.

A: The big handle will prevent it from going down the hole. You don’t need a plate like other drill augers.
