A: Windsor Select Plus Water Softener Salt is intended for use in a water softener unit used to address hard water minerals in your water supply. We would not recommend the use of this product outside of its intended purpose. A reputable pet store or a local veterinarian should be consulted to make sure that the best product is purchased for the fish.

Q: Can you use this for a dishwasher? My dishwasher has a reservoir for water softener salt, but it's next to impossible to find any local store that sells such a specific thing.

A: Windsor water softener salts can be found at the following retailers: Loblaws, Wal-Mart and Sobeys. We recommend contacting the manufacturer of your dishwasher to confirm the form of water softener product (pellets vs. crystals) that can be used in your dishwasher.
