Poor quality and do not recommend

I bought this for my wife to scoop premade cookie dough to bake cookies with my kids. I do not usually review products that did not work out, but this cookie scoop fell apart within 10 minutes. In my opinion, it is of poor quality and poorly engineered. Canadian Tire carried two other cookie scoops which were almost double the price but they did seem much more sturdier and of better quality. For a kitchen gadget that would only be used occasionally, I thought this Wilton one would do the job but obviously not and not even worth its lower price compared to the other options. I was happy that Canadian Tire allowed me to return it otherwise it would have to be thrown out.
