Provided duct tape is a joke

First of all,the R rating is only 5.3. It was a little disappointing.Installation on a 60 gallon is simple, there's no need to cut the blanket .Instead of that, the glass wool is so raw that spreads everywhere, beware to wear gloves and mask, Altough the installation is extremely simple and straight-forward, the tape is a joke ,doens't stick t all, buy anything else white. Do yourself a favour and buy a bubble wrap from HD or elsewhere. Conclusion: very poor quality for the price, but once installed, is ok.

Malheureusement, j'ai dû retourner le produit. Laine isolante sèche. La poussière de laine s'est répandue dans tous les sens. Il a fallu nettoyer à l'aspirateur et prendre une douche... Totalement à déconseiller.

The fiberglass came off the backing as we unrolled it and sagged when installed. The tape enclosed wouldn't stick to anything. I'd look for another brand this one is very poor quality for the price.

A: The water heater blanket can be used for electric, oil or gas tank. FOR OIL AND GAS WATER HEATERS, make sure to respect the following installation procedure : - The top plate is not to be used on gas or oil water heaters with a pressure relief valve mounted on top. Blockage of air circulation at the top of the water heater can provoke security risks due to an incomplete ventilation of combustion gases. - Cut wrapper for pilot light access and pressure relief valve of water heater. - Wrapper must not cover the water heater down to the floor.
