Worked fine until it almost started on fire

I bought this four months ago and it almost burnt my house down. The display and functioning glitched while on programming for my morning coffee and the plug/receptacle became red hot. I would hate to think what would have happened if I hadn't woken up. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Got it home and found it to be cheaply made and more difficult to program than the Cuisinart that we had previously. Decided to return it.

Didnt even last 5 months before calling warrenty

I bought this coffee maker 4.5 months ago and we loved until a month ago where we noticed it was was taking longer and longer (upwards of 40min for 12 cups) so we tried descaling repeatedly and it seemed to help a bit but now we are lucky if it makes 4 or 6 cups in 2hrs. Definitely calling warranty.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What does flashing on button mean. How do you turn it off.

  • A: The "Brew/Off button" is not supposed to be flashing. according to Vida 1-800-263-9768. Mine had flashing the problem. Vida told me to take it back which I did. No problem in returning to CTC since I only bought it a day ago. You might try returning to CTC or, Vida has three year warranty, you can phone them about returning.

Q: After keep=warm mode ends, why does power button keep flashing. I press power button and it stops flashing but later it starts flashing again. How turn off. If no answer, will return for refund.
