Paderno Coffee Maker

The handle is chunky, overly large, and inefficient. Poorly designed! The handle is not ergonomic, and when holding it, your thumb cannot reach the lid.
When the pot is on the warmer, the handle is so large & chunky, it looks as obtrusive as it is.
Love the blue colour, and 14 cups! However, the carafe is fully exposed, which causes coffee to cool quicker. Yes, there is a warmer... which has to work harder to keep the coffee warm, thus overheating the lower half of the pot.
The 'Stand By' mode was onboxious, with its wake up button constantly flashing!!!
The carafe's spout design is awful! It's indented, creating a pooling area. Meaning you can't pour ALL the coffee! Even if you turn it upside down, but then coffee comes out at the side. There is no way to pour your last drops of coffee out!
Side note, the drip is a basket, not a cone. Not an issue, but would've been nice if that was identified alongside "drip".
Needless to say, I'm returning it.

Faulty Vida Coffee Maker

I purchased this coffee maker on November 12, 2025, and it stopped working on December 17, 2025. The screen would glitch, turning the machine on and off and causing it to beep constantly, which made it impossible to brew a proper pot of coffee. Although I had already discarded the box, I kept my receipt. When I returned it to Canadian Tire, they allowed me to either exchange it for the same model or choose one of higher value. I opted for the Smeg coffee maker, and it has been absolutely wonderful. The coffee it produces tastes far better than the Vida coffee maker.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What does flashing on button mean. How do you turn it off.

A: The "Brew/Off button" is not supposed to be flashing. according to Vida 1-800-263-9768. Mine had flashing the problem. Vida told me to take it back which I did. No problem in returning to CTC since I only bought it a day ago. You might try returning to CTC or, Vida has three year warranty, you can phone them about returning.

Q: After keep=warm mode ends, why does power button keep flashing. I press power button and it stops flashing but later it starts flashing again. How turn off. If no answer, will return for refund.
