Completely useless. Mouse ate the bait 2 days in a row and got out. It's sitting level in a perfect spot, but they can get out.

For best results, make sure the trap door and release mechanism are fully engaged and the trap is placed on a level surface along a wall or in an area where mouse activity is frequent. Use a small amount of bait and position it toward the back of the trap so the mouse must enter fully to reach it. We also recommend checking that the trap is securely closed and free of debris before each use. We hope these tips help improve the trap’s performance.

We caught two mice, but not using this trap. We used a different trap that worked both times. I don't think using this alone would catch a mouse.

Use a small amount of an appealing bait, such as peanut butter, and make sure the trap is properly set and the entrance is unobstructed. If mice are avoiding the trap, try moving it to a different area with signs of activity. We hope these tips help improve your results.

It Worked! (Here Are My Tips)

We had a mouse in our kitchen & caught it on the second night! The first night, we put peanut butter in the trap. On the second night, we added an almond and a cashew, which did the trick. We slipped the trap under the fridge, where the mouse seemed to be spending most of its time (we kept seeing it dark between under the fridge and under the stove). Important note: I originally thought we hadn’t caught the mouse because it was hiding under the metal ramp. When I looked more closely, I could see tiny bits of fur sticking out through the ramp’s holes! So be sure to check for that if you think the trap hasn’t worked. We took the mouse for a drive away from our home because we’d read that releasing them 3–5 kilometres away can help prevent them from finding their way back. When I opened the trap, I thought the mouse would immediately dart out, but the poor thing was frozen in fear. I’d recommend either gently shaking the trap a little to encourage the mouse to come out or simply leaving the trap alone for a while until it feels ready to leave. We caught it around 10 p.m. Mice are generally nocturnal, so the best times to check the trap are probably before bed and first thing in the morning. I’m pretty sure I spotted the mouse only a few minutes to an hour after it got trapped, so thankfully it hadn’t chewed any holes in the trap yet, which I know other reviewers have mentioned. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product. We didn’t want to hurt the adorable little fuzz butt, so mission accomplished! 🐭

Capture & Release 3 mice

Not good

Sitting side by side with the other types of snapping traps for 3 weeks now. The other ones have quite productive, while this one caught nothing. I think it proves a wrong concept/design. Mice not not so curious to get inside...
