When assembled it is reasonably sturdy but be fore warned the instructions are not 100% correct but by using common sense you can figure out that on occasion the suggested hardware (Screws) are NOT what needs to be used. I think this happened twice. If you have a top loader washer keep that in mind because you have to lift the lid on the washer. A screw driver with Allen key bit is a big asset, I had a power driver.
