Tight seal to keep out tiny critters

Very nice size with a good click snap lid that stays secured. It's not a hermetic seal (air tight) but good enough to keep out tiny critters. I'm using these for storing dry foods (flours, bulk barn stuff). Clear sides. Relatively tough plastic. Good price (even better when on sale!). Love these. Will buy more when needed.

Q: What are the dimensions of the base (or footprint) of the box? I assume the listed dimensions are for the top of the box. Since the sides look tapered, I would like to know what the smaller dimensions are. Thank you.
