Had to sharpen it

Used it on clay soil. Not very effective on dry clay soil, had to wait for rain. Also, I sharpened all of the blades for better catch. After the rain and sharpen blades, it was great. (will bore around roots 1 inch in diameter, you'll need to cut them)

Would not dig. Tried with 2 people and still would not dig in to the ground. Had to get a bobcat and auger to come in dig 6 holes. Make sure the ground is very soft to dig into - will not touch any hard ground - just spins on top. Should have saved my money for the bobcat guy.

I used it to dig the foundation for my cabin, and 50+ fence posts. It works great unless there large rocks, so I did switch back to the shovel a lot, but it beats the clamshell digger hands down.
