tried one jug to see if it would clear the ice from my driveway, it worked so well I went back and bought five more jugs in case I can't get it next year. not only did it clear my driveway but continues to work as my driveway is still clear even after a few snowy days. I followed the directions, added hot water, waited 20 minutes, poured and within a short period of time the ice was gone. the more applications the better results. even used on my door steps. very pleased with this product.

followed the directions for mixing and waiting Opened the pour spout only to find the particulate inside clogged pores-removed the cap and poured directly. What a mess! What ever it became it tracked in the house, (in spite of its claim) stuck to carpets and boots. Had to hand and brush scrub to get it off-probably will discard entrance way carpets in the spring. And then it didn't melt the ice. Never again!!!!

Contains Green Dye

Just a warning to anyone, this product contains green dye. It doesn't mention this on the packaging. I bought this to treat my wooden deck as it won't rust nails or deteriorate the wood surface like salt will; however it has stained my deck bright green. I'm going to have to re-finish my deck, again, because of this. However, the product did keep the deck ice free; even during freezing rain which turned the driveway into a skating rink.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This de icer is great if you are renting. You don't want your guests to slip - and the landlord is responsible for maintaining their concrete.
