I just bought it and the ticking sound is driving me crazy. What’s up with that sound? I see someone else has the same thing.

The iron didn't get hot enough to meet my ironing needs and it dripped. It made a ticking noise.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love that this iron needs no help to choose a temperature. I am always uncertain the correct setting, so having it chosen automatically is a great bonus. The beautiful teflon plate is so smooth and glides so well. It also is very light weight. I think it will be good for people with arthritis or other conditions affecting the hands and arms.

Q: Does this iron have self-cleaning function to expel mineral deposits at the end of usages? and is the ceramic plate solid ceramic or only plated?

A: The iron is self clean however doesn't have the calc collector. The plate is ceramic plated. Thank you for your inquiry.
