Tough winch for cheap

I bought this on clearance. I read all the terrible reviews but for under a $100 why not? So, I got this and with my savings, I bought a universal hitch winch mount and snatch block. All together I was able to pull a 2006 impala ss (3800lbs) onto a uhaul trailer effortlessly. Very impressed!! It isnt as slow as some say but not fast either. Great value.

This winch replaced a 10 year old model that pulls a 17 ft boat up a slightly inclined marine railway. It probably doesn't get used 20 times a year. Trouble at year 2 with starting and stopping. Now only pulls in. Also excruciatingly slow. Trash.

J'ai acheter cette winch il y a 1 an. J'ai du remplacer la boite de controle (relais) car elle ne fonctionnais plus apres quelques mois. Le cable doit absolument etre rembobiner droit, si il est un peu en angle, le cable se coince entre le "drum" et le rebord jaune du winch. Et une fois bien coincé, bonne chance pour l'enlever de la! Je me demande fortement si c'est vraiment une 3000lbs.. Juste la fuse fournie sur les cables est une thermofuse de 50 amperes alors qu'on parle dans les "specs" de 110 amp max... Le rembobinage est asser lent meme sans charge. La "clutch" pour débarrer le drum devenait de plus en plus dur à opérer, et aurait probablement fini par ne plus fonctionner.. J'ai finalement acheter une autre winch differente...

A: If you are using an ATV plow, this winch will work for the application. If you are using a larger plow, such as a truck plow, you may require a larger winch. This winch has a dynamic brake so the plow will slowly descend towards the ground when powered down.
