We’re not sure it is going to stand up to constant use since the bar the line is on seems to be bending after the first use. Also the line comes off the track at the top because there’s a gap in the enclosure. Not good!

Q: Any tips on restringing? The rope was stuck in the top pulley, I had to untie and wasn't able to fish through successfully.

A: Use tape on the end of the rope for about 4 inches .This should make it a little stiffer and you should be able to push it though.

Q: Can the pole be cut down? I need a 36" inch elevator.

A: I dediced to find out for myself if it could be cut down. I purchased this and successfully cut it down to the required 36" no problem at all. Just loosened a set screw and cut the pole with a hacksaw and put it back together.

Q: How is the Strata 54 Clothesline Elevator installed/ I have an iron pole in the ground..wife brought it home and said install.....the mounting are flush flanged with no clamps, no instructions.no fittings ...step be step if you would please..thanx DJL

A: My suggestion: Get yourself two appropriately sized muffler clamps to clamp the top and bottom brackets to your pole. Muffler clamps are in two parts: U-bolt with nuts and washers and a round bracket adaptor that prevents pipe crushing.

Q: As I intend to mount the elevator on the brick façade of the back of my house, I want to know if the weight of 70 feet of clothesline with wet clothes on it will pull the brick down. Or should I lag screw through the brick and sheathing into the 2x6 studs

A: 100% must be connected into something solid behind the brick.

Q: What is the size of the mounting holes in the two top and bottom brackets? That is so I can determine the size of the lag screws required to anchor the elevator on a brick wall.
