My wife purchased this apple peeler after borrowing the exact same one from a neighbour. The neighbour's worked very well, but for some reason, ours doesn't do a good job. It only peels the top half or so. There isn't an adjustment on it to fix this problem. It doesn't make sense that 2 of the exact same product doesn't do the same job. Very disappointed

A: It peels apples and pears but not potatoes as they are not a uniform shape.
