I've got a few of those in my kitchen. They're great for storing items bought at the bulk store. They have a large opening, so that if you're using a measuring scoops and spoons, they fit nicely into the jar.

We bought a number of these to store flour, pasta, rice and the like on the counter. The caps screw on and off easily and being see through is very convenient. These are very helpful.

Q: Is the lid smooth or brushed finish? I would like to use these in the bathroom for cotton balls and q-tips but my accessories are chrome or polished finish. Want to know if these will match??
