Skip Hop Playview Expandable Enclosure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this as an upgrade for the lack and play, which our rolling-with-enthusiasm 5.5 month old was too confined in. We are also about to move and didn’t want to babyproof our whole apartment right beforehand, so this has worked well to give her a safe play space and us peace of mind. However, two of the panels arrived damaged and I cannot get hold of someone in customer service to get them replaced. I took off one star for that. I also took off one star for the super annoying “music” the star plays - it is a really grating high pitched whine. Otherwise, it’s great - fits well, the shape is adjustable, the mesh panels make it easy to see in/out, and there’s good room for our baby to play, even with one of us in there with her. Our cat is also very entertained by the baby “exhibit.”

This was a great play pen for our baby when he was little. My baby isn't even a year old and he can now move the enclosure and the hinges break. It didn't last us 6 months. I'm expecting baby #2 and am in search for a new play pen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this once my son started to roll and so far I am happy with my purchase. I love that it's see through and not an eye sore. I would recommend although, I wish I could purchase individual panels to make bigger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to use at work since my LO comes with me. Works perfectly to keep her safe while I work. She loves the hanging activity toy that comes with. It’s easy to set up & move around.

Attached this to a wall, and it makes a very large enclosure. Big enough for several children and 2 adults with room to spare. can be scaled up or down by removing panels. Minimal 'pushing around' factor when attached to wall as well. It does lock it's shape pretty well when not attached to a wall. The mesh is great, strong, can see through it and baby can't climb it. Bars are very strong as well, no bending with weight of adults climbing over, but I try not to put my full weight on them just in case. Also you can easily add pool noodles to the bars to cushion from falls (also puzzle mat to the walls and floor and this becomes a 'bump free' zone), even the bars on the floor can accommodate pool noodle. Only thing I dislike about this design is it takes a considerable amount of force (two hands... one pulling up hard and the other pushing down for leverage) to open the doorway. Even as an adult I find it difficult to have the strength to open the door... and there is no comfortable area to place your hands for leverage. To close the gate it is difficult to line up the matching pegs and holes at the top and bottom, so that is also an annoyance as well. The bottom peg can also separate an misalign easily, so you need to wrap it with some masking tape for optimal use. If you are comfortable with stepping over the enclosure that is a much easier option. Overall although the design is not perfect, I would say this is probably one of the best play yards on the market.
