Q: Thinking of a boat install, do I need some kind of stereo system already on boat or does this unit connect to speakers directly
4 years agoA: The radio transmits the music to a selectable FM radio so you will need a radio system on the boat. Alteratively, you can use a Sirius boom box (120v or battery)

Q: is the dock universal , can it be used with other sirius receivers. because i have other docks in a couple vehicles it would be nice to use one receiver for all vehicles.
3 years agoA: The vehicle dock that comes with the Onyx Plus is universal with Sirius and XM radios. The Onyx Plus radio, however, that sits in the dock is only compatible with the included vehicle dock or some older XM docks. It will not work in an older Sirius vehicle dock. Here’s the full compatibility for the included vehicle dock: • Sportster 5/6, Starmate 3/4/5/6/7/8, Stratus 3/5/6/7, Edge, Onyx, Onyx EZ, Onyx EZR, Onyx Plus, Xpress RCi, XpressRC and XpressR

7 years agoA: No, the Onyx Plus comes with the vehicle accessories in order to connect to your vehicle radio. The home kit, model SXDH3KC, can be purchased separately and will work with the Onyx Plus as a home solution.
