Love this unit! Last one i owned was 20+ years before it died from daily use, these little grinders with wond in cords are great. The worst thing is super hard to fins and canadain tire discounted the unit .....

Coffee bean grinder

I was looking for something inexpensive to grind fresh herbs and spices . Specifically cloves, ginger ,cinnamon sticks and Rosemary .This did the trick . I have a mini food chopper/grinder that did not get them fine enough . Very happy with it .

It is very small, does not grind for espresso and cannot remove the top so getting access to the coffee is a pain

Q: I bought this model because it says online that it features a removable grinding chamber. Am I missing something? I can't find how to remove it and there is nothing in the instructions.

A: GrandmaD - Here is what I cut/paste from the FEATURES section: "Features a removable grinding chamber and cord storage" for Model: Simplicite Automatic Coffee Grinder, 12-Cup SKU #043-1964-8. Scroll up. :~) Must be a typo because I believe you're right that it doesn't have that removable grinding chamber, unfortunately.

Q: Does it grind flaxseed?

A: I have been using this for nearly 4 years now. Every morning, I grind some sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, sesame, etc. and add them to my smoothie. Then I wipe inside with a piece of paper towel and grind my coffee. I never used it to grind flax seed but I think it will do the job, but I can always get ground flax seed and ground chia seed from stores.

Q: What is this unit's capacity? I am wondering if perhaps the "12 cup capacity" might be a typo, since a similar unit (Black & Decker Coffee Grinder 043-2124) says that it has a 1/2 cup (118 ml) capacity...? Thank you...

A: It is a 12 cup capacity: For 12 cups, place up to 1/2 cup (115 ml) of coffee beans into the bowl The desired flavour and strength of coffee is a personal preference Using 8 tablespoons of ground coffee will make 12 cups of coffee.
