I bought this one by mistake was suppose to get semi transparent, but i am happy for my mistake. Love the color - went on smoothly, put two coats on. Happy with product , recommended

Q: Does REZ Durable Water-Based Wood Stain for Decks, Siding & Fences work for pre-painted wood fences?

A: Yes it does but depending on the condition of old paint, the new stain color might change slightly when applied on top of the old layer.

Q: We sanded our wood deck and painted the REZ solid tint base stain. It has been almost 24 hours and the deck still feels tacky, any idea how long for it to cure? Or do we need to do something else? It was 25+ degrees when we applied the stain.

A: If its hot and humid it can remain tacky up to 48 hrs. It should have a cured coat by 24 hrs, but may not be fully dried. I find this to be a great exterior coating, easy to go on, easy to clean up, but its no longer oil based, so it can freeze in the can in winter, and this will trash it. Soaks in well and I have used it to preserve rotten wood for 10 more years, keep apply each year, good to go. Used it for 40 years+
