After a year since installing I am disappointed by this product. As another reviewer mentioned tightening the nut on the crank arm is impossible as you cannot fit the socket in the hole where the nut goes. I’ve used a wrench to get it on as tight as I can. After a year the entire winch is very loose, the locking mechanism doesn’t hold, instead it pulls the lever through the gears and is very hard to get back out again. I figured for the price this would be much better, I think I would have been better off getting a basic winch for half the price

Nice upgrade

Installed this to replace broken down winch on a SeaDoo trailer...unlike MotoMaster version which would have required me to drill additional holes into trailer (holes didn't line up), this allows some flexibility for distance between attachment bolts with one elongated hole. When I factor in that this Reese also came with matching strap, the price difference was worth it. I did have small challenge getting the crank handle installed as others have noted, but a 19mm long socket worked for me as the short socket version was too fat to fit.
