Product Details

The Reese Marina Winch makes easy work of winching your boat onto the trailer. This steel boat ratchet comes equipped with a 20' (6 m) strap and a high-performance 5:1 gear ratio for plenty of leverage when lifting your vessel for transport. This boat winch features a two-way (in/out) ratchet with a durable black powder coating and red accent finish. It includes a non-marring snap hook and an easy-grip, non-slip handle for comfortable cranking.

  • Recommended for small-to-medium sized boats

  • Rubberized hook protects trailer and boat surfaces from impacts and friction wear

  • Ergonomic handle reduces hand faitgue and maximizes leverage

  • Winch arm angles away from trailer frame for extra cranking clearance

  • Easily switches from winching in to winching out

    Great winch makes life easier

Great winch. I was struggling with my old winch, and this Reese winch made pulling up my boat a sinch.

    Questions

    1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: Can I relocate the handle from the one side to the other? My spare tire is mounted on the same side as the winch handle.

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question on this REESE Powersports Marine Winch. The handle cannot be switched to the opposite side as the handle drive shaft has the interface gear and locking pawl that must align to the winch gear. For more information or general product questions, please contact REESE Towpower Customer Service at 1-844-491-0858.

Q: Is this winch suitable for dock application? Can I use this to raise and lower my aluminum dock frame? If so when I lower the dock is it geared so the winch will only go down as I wind it down, or will the weight of the dock cause it to spin out?

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question on this REESE Marine Winch. For your application, we recommend a brake style (work winch). For more information or general product questions, please contact REESE Towpower customer service at 1-800-632-3290, or visit www.REESETowpower.com

Q: Can this winch be installed with the handle on the right instead of on the left as the photo shows?  I need a manual winch to winch my medical scooter into my car up a ramp.  Can I install this winch onto a piece of 2 x 6 inch wood to mount it?

    1 Answer
    • A: Unfortunately, we do not recommend this winch for any other application than its intended use. Given the configuration and design of the winch, it is meant to be used with vehicles not carrying any occupants, as vehicles should never be loaded with people onboard. Given you would like to use this with a scooter, you would have to visit a medical supply store to get the correct product to assist in loading and unloading your medical scooter.

Q: What is the two way ratchet for, if strap can not be wound in both directions? (Does it not stop the drum from spinning clockwise when in one position, and then stop the drum from spinning counter-clockwise when the ratchet is in the second position?)

    1 Answer
    • A: This winch can free wheel, but it also has the capability of ratcheting both while tightening but also loosening.

Q: Can I unwind strap & wind it up in opposite direction so it winds in from the TOP of the spool instead of the BOTTOM, when mounted vertically?Since the switch on it toggles between ratcheting in both directions. Is it OK to wind strap in EITHER direction?

    1 Answer
    • A: Unfortunately this winch is designed to be wound on the spool in one direction, it cannot be used in either direction.
