    Filled crack

Mostly works as per directions, but my hospital grade UV light did not cure material. However it did cure in direct sunlight. Just read the instructions carefully to minimize errors and waste.

I tried this on a nasty stone chip on my windshield. I can’t believe how well it worked! All is left is a tiny little dot. I highly recommend it!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Stoke chip fixer. Need sunlight or a YV flashlight to cure the resin. Much cheaper if you DIY

    Questions

    1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: How many chips can this kit fix? Is it a single use kit?

    • A: It's a single use product. There is a sticky pad that seals around the crack so you can pull a vacuum / add pressure using the syringe, and that pad isn't reusable. They also give you a small amount of resin and as per the instructions you are to use the whole bottle on a crack. So it's one use.

Q: Can this be used on a vertical windshield of an RV?

    • A: I don’t see why not. Inject the resin into the chip/ crack and follow the instructions.

Q: Can this be done outside in 6o weather? Sunny day?

    • A: Apply to a cold windshield. The liquid will flow through the crack readily. Then you can move it towards the sun to warm glass will expand And close the cracks

Q: Does this product work with 4-5 inch long cracks that have spiderwebbed out?

    • A: I found it excellent on the bullseye type every time. The cracks were harder to fix. I had some luck with heating the windshield from the inside, pushing the glass gently, with the product on the outside.  But that probably only worked to fix cracks 20% of the time.

Q: No sun in the weather forecast. Will this cure properly without sunlight?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi Spatial-K, that's a great question, this time of year in Canada can be a quest in waiting for the sun to come out. Obviously in clear skies pretty much 100% of UV light is transmitted and in scattered clouds it could be as high as 90%, while with broken clouds about 70% of UV light gets through but in overcast skies which is typical of Canada this time of year only about 30% gets through. With that, certainly try to wait to make the repair when you see a forecast for sunny or partly sunny skies, as well try to make sure that it is a warm day as this will also help the repair and curing process. But if you find yourself facing many days or a week or two of cloudy skies, then a secondary source of UV light would be a UV light bulb or flashlight, just ensure that it is a good quality item that emits proper UV light spectrum and make the repair on a warm day or in a warm garage. Hope this answer your question.
