Pay for a new tank but get a used one

a month ago

I paid the price for what was supposed to be a brand new propane tank and received a used, dirty one with chipped paint. Not sure why Canadian Tire would charge clients more than double when not exchanging a tank, and not provide a brand new tank.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Yes, any Canadian Tire location will accept returns, as well as any retailer that does tank exchanges. Even Walmart and Home hardware in most cities.

A: If you don't have an empty cylinder to exchange you may purchase a tank with propane. Prices for tank with propane ranges between $69.99 to $72.99 and most retail sites.

A: Yes, any of our tanks purchased from a Tank Traders cage will come filled and you can exchange an empty tank for a full one at any retailer with our Tank Trader cages.

A: Good day, If you have an expired tank, you can simply bring it in to any Tank Traders vendor and exchange it for an in-date tank. You will only pay for the cost of propane. We accept all 20lb propane tanks for exchange, as long as it is in good condition. Thank you

Q: When you buy a bbq propane tank with propane the 1st time at canadian tire, does it automatically enroll you for an exchange when empty? That is, you can come with ur empty tank, pay for propane and go with a full one right?
